I hate clutter, but I love my son, so when he started bringing home a bunch of paperwork from preschool, it was all so special and I couldn't just toss like I normally do. After a pile started to build and I could no longer fit another piece of it on the fridge, I remember something I saw a long time ago.
So, one day while he was at school, I lined up all his school work and took a picture of it, then thew it away. This worked perfect! I got rid of the clutter and it still gave me an awesome way to keep the memories. And if he asks what happened to all his stuff, BAM, I still have it.

ReplyDeleteGood Idea Melody! That is going to help me a lot! I have papers and projects coming out of my ears! :)
ReplyDeleteGood idea! Throw stuff away now while you still can!! (when we moved last year I went through my enormous box of projects/papers from the kids and tossed a bunch!) My friend takes a picture of each special school project and at the end of each school year she has them printed into a small shutterfly photo album! So rather than having boxes of crafts and projects and papers, they get a very cool coffee-table-style book with all those memories! She just saves a few of the most special things from each year and tosses the rest.
